Thanks...for the memories...

Okay, so you have to have seen a Lawrence Welk show in your past to get that lyric - which is something no self-respecting pirate should ever admit. But this is my last post as a pirate, dammit! And even thought I haven't been here very long, I'm feeling sentimental.

I didn't start out as a pirate, but these wenches...I'm sorry...rather piratey women, invited me to join their crew. And it was great! I love these ladies! They're funny and smart and they never say anything about my addiction to cake and vodka and cake-flavored vodka (mostly because it meant more rum for them).

But every adventure has to have an end and I guess here's where The Romance Writers' Revenge docks for good - I'm assuming in Tortuga - or maybe to see new life as a Carnival Cruise ship (and if that's the case, we should probably take the undead monkey with us).

Let me just say that if anyone on this crew ever needs an assassin for any reason - you know where to find me! Even if you don't need my, um, particular skill set and you just need some idiot to show up and act obnoxious - I'm your gal.

Thanks guys, for letting me play a  small part.  You always made me feel like part of the crew.  I love you all.

And I hope we will all stay in touch because I need each and every one of you. And not just to help dispose of bodies - but for any other reason too (although I should say up front that you probably shouldn't ask me to be a square dancing partner - everything else is okay).

All my love to the crew,
The Assassin

Oh no! Now the assassin's getting sentimental too! We need hotties in here, STAT!

I think the Revenge would be a fabulous cruise ship. We'd have the monkey and Mo's fabulous drinks. If we could just keep the Cap'n from tossing empty rum bottles at the guests.... :)

No do-si-do? There went my plans...

We LOVE having you on this crew, Leslie. There's no way we could part ways completely. We just won't be showing our asses...err.... ankles to the world several times a week anymore. :)

And I'm happy with sailing into the sunset, but not as a cruise ship! Those things make this ship seem clean and safe these days. And that's saying something!

Maybe we should all go on a cruise, just for fun?

Or we could do a pirates take Disney trip. I'm going end of next March. Y'all could come along!

Are you going alone?

Terri Osburn said...

As if my teen would let me go alone. LOL! Kiddo and I have both been, but not together. And I was only there with RWA in 2010 so limited park time. We're excited to make it a real vacation together.

My 15yr. old daughter LOVES Disney World. We've been five times. It truly is the happiest place on Earth. Let me know if you need any advice on what to do. And BE SURE to go to Gaston's Pub in the New Fantasyland. He really does use antlers in all of his decorating...

You'll be getting an email!

Groovy! I could talk about Disney World ALL DAY LONG!

Pretty sure that was a question on the crew application--if you said YES, you get hired.

We'll definitely keep in touch. I stalked you out specifically you know!

That's why I'm going to DW in March. But I'm fine with Disneyland, too. LOVED it over there.

We go in January. This past Jan. it was 82degrees. I like Disneyland too - been there once. But it's right in Anaheim. DW makes you feel like you're on another planet.

I love Disney World! The DH and I are going next month for another one of his conferences. It's going to be fun - each time we go we stay at a different place. This time it's The Polynesian. I'm looking forward to it. As he likes to say - He's done with the mouse! Unfortunately for him (fortunately for me), his job keeps sending him there for conferences. LOL

I know they just did a whole new thing around Beauty and the Beast at the Magic Kingdom and I can't wait to check it out. I'm jealous, Leslie, I went there in February a couple of years ago and froze my butt off! I would have died for 82 degrees.

I'm going to be Orlando'd out by next year. We're finally taking the kids to Universal Studios in a couple of months to see Hogwarts. They are super excited!

I'm hoping kiddo and I can hop over to Hogwarts while we're there, but I hear it's way expensive. As if anything down there isn't expensive.

Done with the mouse. LOL! We're just getting started over here!

I have no experience with Universal Studios. Let me know how it goes!
