Hottie Crewmember of the Week: Teamwork

This Hottie blog is devoted to the handsome fellows out there who know how to be a good contribution to a team.  Three of my favorites below, from TV series.  Bones, Castle, and Elliot.  Fabulous halves of fabulous teams.  They know when to be the tough guy and when to be softies.  Perfect.  There's something hot about a guy who knows how to be a complement to the women around him.

What do you think, wenches and mates?  Is being a good half of a whole sexy to you?  Or do you prefer the "I work alone" sort?

I adore Castle--I can't bear to miss his show--but ELLIOT has my heart and soul. I love-love-love that guy...he's a MESS. *LOL* I just want to...do naughty things just to make him feel better. *LOL*

Hello, Seeley Booth! I am in love with you. But it is an unselfish love, because I don't want to be with you. I want to watch you attain true happiness with your soulmate, Temperance Brennan.

If this involves hot monkey sex and your naked butt on TV, I am totally okay with that.

Kate, yer a woman after me own heart. I agree. Love Seeley, but want ta see 'im reach nirvana with Bones. Because she needs 'im more than 'e needs 'er.

I only recently started watchin' Castle...clever!

Give me a duo to watch, always sexy ta observe the dancin' that goes on!

Marnee, I don't think any of those are available on regular UK TV. I would probably need a satellite dish to tune in.

Though thinking back over the male/female partnerships that I have most enjoyed, as favourite I come up with Joanna Lumley and David McCallum as 'Saphire and Steel'.

I always think that a woman's voice is a greatly under rated asset in today's world. There are some great 'writing voices' here of course but in terms of real phonemes Joanna transmits pure unadulterated audio pheromones. That soft cultured lilting voice, always with subtle humour playing in the background, can turn the hardest of tough guys into quivering jelly. The voice is ageless as well. I can easily imagine sipping champaign with Joanna at a candle lit dinner when she is 100 years old and still revelling in that voice and admiring the perfect dress sense.

Oh, and McCallum as 'Steel' wasn't bad either!

If anything the voice becomes more interesting and lovely with increasing age. Instead of wasting time with make up, rouge, eye shadow and such, ladies should practise more with a microphone!

Just my humble opinion of course!

Q - I tend ta agree wit' ya. I feel the same about a good voice. David McCullum has a loverly voice. I always like Tom Baker's voice...that wonderful deep brown tone, as they call it in radio.

Great picks! Love me some Booth- but I agree bones needs him! Now Elliott- he is all man and I'd be happy to cheer him up - I can see I'm not the only one!

You know, I like the actor... But his role as Elliott drives me crazy. In the RW, he'd be fired so damned fast! I actually like watchin' Munch and, shoot...the black guy, more!

I'm not normally a stickler fer procedure, etc, but Elliott, 'is temper... I jus' don't know!

But he's got an awesome bod!

I'm late, late, late, but I'm so glad I didn't totally miss this. Seely is damn near perfect, but Castle is quickly winning my heart. LOVE Castle. I've watched L&O SVU before and I think that partnership is missing the heat of the other two here. Or it was the last time I saw it, which was admittedly a long time ago.

The classic pairs to me are Laura and Remington from Remington Steele and David and Maddie from Moonlighting. Those shows were so awesome.

I watch so little TV that I don't even recognize the current pairs. I agree with Terri on David and Maddie in Moonlighting--the early shows anyway. Another pairing I loved was Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers as Jonathan and Jennifer Hart in Hart to Hart--an exception to the rule since the characters were married to one another, and marriage usually ends the reign of a great couple.

Hells - I admit I've only caught a couple episodes of each of these shows. But Castle is a smart ass and I love that in my men. And Elliot seems to need some one to take care of him and well, that's sweet. And Booth, he's wry and dry and, well, hot. le sigh.

Kate - I'm with you; I totally want to see Booth and Bones together.

Q - the voice? I'd never thought of that. I have heard guys praise all sorts of feminine attributes but I'm not sure I've ever heard the voice. Though it's incredibly sweet, because I do know women who's voices smile. I love that.

Sabrina - Bones and Booth do need each other, huh? So sweet...

Chance - Elliot does seem to have a temper. I do like a little fire in a guy though.... But it is true. Would be tough in the RW.

Ter - I am going to admit here that I never saw Remington Steele or Moonlighting. We only got two stations growing up and neither carried them.... :( Pathetic, huh?

Janga - "marriage usually ends the reign of a great couple"

LOL!!! This totally made me laugh. I assume you meant in shows and fiction. LOL!!

PS, sorry I was late today. This weekend was sheer insanity. I barely was home all weekend. Two kid birthday parties (one at Chuck E Cheese and boy is that place a survival of the fittest experience for kids). A bachelorette party and two dinner invites. I'm exhausted.... :(

Oops! I did mean episodic TV. Some of my favorite novels feature married couples, as do some great films. And I've seen some wonderful RL love stories endure for half a century or more. But usually on TV shows, marriage for the star couple is a jump-the-shark moment for the show.
