Pirate Presents Day

Since this is my last blog before the big day, I figured I'd hand out the presents that I bought my fellow pirates.

For Sin, I found the perfect presents.  You know those times when you're looking and looking for the right gift, and then you see it.  That thing that just screams out a person's name.  These shirts not only screamed Sin's name, they screamed her exact words!  Aren't they cute?!?

While I was trying to figure out what to get Marn, this commercial came on television and I just knew I had to get this product for her.  Not only is Marn the only one of us who wrote an entire manuscript this year, she's the haggled mum of a toddler, holding down a regular job, and working on making her family bigger.  Don't ask us why, we're not really sure. Though we understand the desire to *practice* making the munchkins.  So for Marn (and Mr. Marn who I do believe will be sending me a financial thank you for this one) I have this.  We'll expect a full testimonial as to the effects and benefits of this product. J

Shopping for Lis was tough.  As the mistress of the Hottie, I knew whatever I found, it had to be hot.  Real hot.  With this present, Lisa can enjoy the fittest, hottest bodies all year long.  Talk about the gift that keeps on giving.

And we come to the Captain.  You might think I would go for the obvious, something Harry Potter-ish or anything with Jack on it.  But when you really think about it, do you think there's anything left in either of those arenas that she doesn't already have?  Yeah, I don’t think so either.  So, I went a little obvious but put a twist on it.  The Captain is about to get her own new cabin here soon, so I figured she needs some new pirate essentials.  Every pirate captain needs her own, fully-accessorized pirate bath.

I do hope all my shipmates like their presents.  Here's the question of the day.  If money, size, and practicality were of no concern, what is the perfect gift for you.  Time to dream ladies.  Dream big!

A house on the beach. Then you guys could drop anchor and come over for brunch. Do Pirates do brunch? I can always set something on fire on the grill instead. Merry Christmas!

No present for the Bo'sun ?

She deserves something very special.

I suggest that we might 'hire' Sin's hotty to chauffeur the new car over Christmas. If he's qualified he could also provide advanced driving instruction and do any other little chores she may have.

The perfect gift for me?
After watching 'Toad of Toad Hall' with The Toad in his new motor car, I think I would like my own spaceship to visit the stars.I would also like any willing pirates, brave enough to 'sail' with me, to operate the ship leaving me free to steer and honk the hooter.I'm told there is a planet populated with gorgeous sirens out beyond the flying fish nebula. :D

Merry Christmas!

Hmmmm....Dream Big eh? House on the lake sounds nice to me. Yes I'm copying it's easier. And I'm unusually tired today and in serious need of more warmth. I just want to stay indoors until it's warm outside again. :)

Let's see... I really have everything I could possibly want. But since we're dreaming REALLY big, I'll go with having enough money to pay off all of my parents's bills and support them in style for the rest of their lives- it's no less than what they've done for me.

Also, I would love to have a brand new Lexus and be able to buy my brothers their own, too.

Merry Christmas, sweetie! Is kiddo scoring a lot of awesome gifts this year? Christmas, though amazingly wonderful, is never as great as when you're a kid.

Maggie - I'm so there. And as long as there's rum, pirates will do just about anything. :)

Chance - I almost gave Marn the cruise. It was a tough choice. But that commercial really did come on TV while I was pondering and how could I pass up a product like that? LOL! We're definitely adding that little duckie to the Captain's stash. Talk about an essential.

terrio said...

Q - Hon, I was the one giving the presents. Couldn't exactly give myself one. Though technically, since I just bought myself a car, I guess I kind of did. LOL! I'm going to be a good pirate and ignore that "honk the hooter" bit. ;)

Tiff - That's a lovely dream. Me own house. *sigh* Someday. Someday. Stay warm. It's down in the 30s here with wind chills in the low 20s. I know that's warm compared to most of you but this is the coldest day of the year around here. LOL!

terrio said...

Kelly - You're parents are very lucky to have you for a daughter. Especially with all those boys around. LOL! A Lexus is nice, and for all your generous thoughts, I hope you get one!

I haven't shopped for kiddo yet as she won't be back until next weekend and we'll celebrate a bit late. I do know her grandparents got her a Wii so I do believe she'll be more than happy with her turn out this year. I'm still debating the iPod.

Dude, could I get a cruise AND the products? LOL!!

These are great gifts! Thanks Ter!

If I could have anything without the worry of price, I'd probably want to go to Europe. I've always wanted to go but I just haven't made it yet.

terrio said...

Marn - That sounds like an exhausting combination, but if you think you're up for it, of course you can have both. LOL!

I wanna go to Europe! Aunty Cindy sent me a post card she picked up in Turkey and it looks so amazing. I still can't imagine walking in ruins that are thousands of years old.

I must have those shirts!

I did find a shirt on ULB.com that I want in the worst way. http://www.uglylittlebitch.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=140

That shirt suits me perfectly.

Merry Christmas Bo'sun- I'll give you one of my hotties and order you a gift set of Lovrub, industrial size. LOL

*dreaming of Christmas*

I'd like a Q for Christmas; but I don't think Mattycakes would like that much.

I'd like a Lexus too; but I rather love my Camry. Or maybe an FJ Cruiser. I could really tear some stuff up with one of those.

I'd like to be able to finish something- writing wise- but it's not going to happen in three days. LOL

Otherwise, I can want for nothing. I have a good life with lots of great friends and little luxuries that make me happy.

terrio said...

Sin - There are lots more, even one with pirates and ninjas together!

I love the gifts Bo'sun got me. I've been jonesing for the pirate shower curtain. *LOL*

If money (et al) were not a problem: I'd want a private Caribbean island with fully-functioning mansion/resort on it. You know, with electricity and running-water, et al. Just a boat jaunt away from where there is food to buy and all that jazz. (I guess I'd also want the boat, huh? And probably a few staff members to upkeep the grounds and stuff. God knows I'll be too busy drinking mai-tais to mow my lawn.)

Now this one is sweet.

terrio said...

That even looks like you! LOL!

I'm glad everyone likes their presents. I couldn't pass up the pirate toilet paper. LOL! That's just too funny.

Captain - An island paradise. Good choice! Would you want it be right next to Johnny's?

Hellion said...

Well, not RIGHT NEXT to Johnny's. I mean, I don't want to come off as a stalker or anything. But maybe the one on the other side of the island next to Johnny's.

Hellion said...

The blogger freaks out when you guys put in all those links. They think you're selling porn or penis pills.

terrio said...

It's Sin's fault. The ninja spammer....

That's plenty of distance. I'm sure Johnny won't even notice your giant telescope watching him...LOL!

Sin said...

Maybe I am trying to push the penis pills on the blog. Now that's a blog waiting to be written...

terrio said...

Oh, I sense a new drink coming on. LOL! Or something to make the drinks more *fizzy*. LOL! Drop in a penis pill!

Sin said...

I bet Chance is jotting down her notes on the new drink right now.

Money no object? I want a ten-bedroom, custom-designed house on 150 acres with a full and fully competent staff. I want that staff to include a personal assistant to whom I can give a list of the remaining six gifts I have to buy and let him fight the cold wind and the traffic and the screaming kids and the loud-voiced ladies in elf hats. Then I can stay warm in my huge house listening to music I like, sipping a glass of wine, and reading an advance copy of This Duchess of Mine. :)

Elyssa said...

Hmmm . . . I want an ocean-house where it doesn't snow and the air is balmy. And I also want all of my bills paid off forever and ever, and a hot, attractive man who has no problem grocery shopping, cleaning, or cooking. What, he's going to get all the sex he wants so it's an even trade. *g*

Elyssa said...

Janga, are you reading This Duchess of Mine now??? Jealous!!!

terrio said...

Janga - I think you have the right idea. People always wish for the big house, but then forget the big staff. Who wants to keep that house clean?! LOL! And I'm with Ely, are you telling us you've gotten your hands on that book?!

Ely - Sounds like a fair trade to me!

2nd Chance said...

Hmmmm... the penis pill, served in a beaker...

Yes!

Great gifts!

If money wasn't a problem...I'd just want to go home. I would fly everyone of my family to Hawai'i for Christmas. My mom wanted all of us to spend Christmas together this year; she always knew what all of us needed more, than what we wanted. And needs usually took care of our wants.

ReneeLynnScott said...

Oh let's see. On the top of my list, Neckar Island. Check it out. I'll share it with y'all. Private yacht. Enough money to buy my dad his own Learjet so he can fly me around the world. First Scotland, Ireland, then Israel and Greece. The Lexus sounds good. All the dolls my mother wants. A kickass electronic piano for my girls. A snowboard trip for the boy, along with a couple of four wheelers and dirt bikes. Hubs needs a van for work, a nice one. Oh, and I'd love to have a house big enough for the family and enough acres for our rescue pets.

I'm not asking for too much am I?

Renee

ReneeLynnScott said...

Aw, Island, if I had the money, I'd send you all home for the holidays.

Renee

terrio said...

Chance - Those drinks are going to be very popular. ;)

terrio said...

Island - Can I go too? I bet that would be the trip of a lifetime. And likely the best Christmas EVER!

Renee - Now you're talking. And you're willing to share. I knew there was a reason we liked you. But I do think it's funny that after all that, the thing you want for hubby is something he needs for WORK. LOL! So everyone else gets to play while he works?

Irisheyes said...

I think I'd like one of everything everyone else asked for (except for Ely's hot attractive man - I think the DH would get jealous). I would love a huge summer home on a lake. I would love to travel to England, Ireland, Scotland, etc. I'd love to be filthy rich, but not by myself. If I'm loaded everyone else has to be too. Otherwise, who would I play with?

IG - you gotta really be missing home, especially this week - I don't think my thermometer has hit double digits in a week!

Hellion said...

Irish, if you have all the money, you can buy all the friends you want. *grins* I myself can be had for a very reasonable price.

That doesn't sound right. I don't mean that quite how that can be interpreted...and I would play with you for free, too.

I'd go for everyone having money. I can be a communist.

Janga said...

No, no, no need for jealousy. I don't have a copy of This Duchess of Mine. It's part of my dream picture too. T

he only thing I actually have is music I like, but since five grands are drowning out the music I'm not sure that counts. :) I do have some wine, but in that dream picture I'd be drinking Screaming Eagle Cabernet instead of my modestly priced pinot.

terrio said...

Irish - Just use the Hottie to do the chores around the house. I'm sure DH would approve that. You promise to look with no touchy, everyone is happy. Fingers crossed for an unseasonable warm up!

Captain - That explains that invoice I got for the *friendship payment*.

Janga - That was a close one. Do you know how much danger you were in? LOL! And isn't the sound of the grands Christmas music in itself? :)

Marnee Jo said...

Wow. You folks got greedy while I was gone. :) LOL!!

Hellion said...

Don't worry, T, you can always pay in installments. Interest free, even, because we're such good friends.

terrio said...

Marn - the directions did say to dream big. LOL!

Hell - Careful, someone might accuse you of going soft.
