It's a Holiday, Guess Where We're At?
Yep. In the BEST. BAR. EVER.
If you're going to celebrate the 4th of July (and who doesn't?) and our freedom (Hello, pirates!) and drink lots of alcohol (see previous), you can't pick a better place than Norfolk, VA. So that's where we are. At least in spirit; and some of us a bit more spirited than others.
Everyone have a Happy Fourth of July, and we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming on Sunday, July 6th. Next week our guest bloggers are twins: Dee S. Knight and Anne Krist (not to be missed!), and Hellion will demonstrate her singing skills (bring your earplugs) when she does a rendition of South Pacific.

And is Hellion wearing sailor whites as she sings?
Didn't General Washington order double rations of rum for the troops?
We shall expect no less! Blimey, I hope a Limy is allowed in here celebrate *g*
I'll have a triple scotch and barman, whatever the crew fancies please. Charge it to the British Crown.
*Raise glass* God Bless America and all who sail with her.....Cheers everyone!
Forgot to say this:
HAPPY JULY 4TH EVERYONE!!!!
WOOHOO!
I got in late last night. I remember dancing. I remember drinking. I remember singing.
I had so much damn fun.
And today, on the fourth of July, it's just going to get a whole lot better. Beach fireworks at night. A sit-down dinner beforehand. And drinking throughout.
I love vacays!!!
Happy 4th everyone! Have a safe and great holiday/long weekend. Enjoy the fireworks.
DJS - Of course she is!! What other way is there to sing that?
Q - here here! Thanks our British friend!!
Ely - what a party! Glad you're having fun!!
Tiff - Hope you had a fun Canada Day!!
Happy 4th of July everyone! Be safe!!
Shiver me timbers, the Queen is picking up the tab!?! What a lovely wench she be.
Happy Boomers Day, everyone! Sounds like Ely is having enough fun for all of us. LOL! I've decided to go shopping. And I might try the beach, I'm still debating.
Be safe!!!
you can shop on July 4? I think most places (especially the all important liquor store--we can't buy it in the grocers up here :) on Canada day...
Thanks Marn, I had a great holiday, Monday/Tuesday
Heck, they are still doing fireworks up to Sunday at Ontario Place... and Québec celebrated 400 years yesterday.
Tiff - retailers here use these kinds of holidays to have huge sales. I need clothes for San Fran so I might as well hit the sales! LOL!
Happy 4th everyone! I started with the rum last eve, I hope to stay in my cups until sometime Sunday. ;) Shopping trip with the in-laws will do that to a person. If I don't return on Monday, know I've been kidnapped.
A partay! Rum. Shinanegans with ye ol' scallywags.
Be it ever so humble, comrades all, there's nothing finer than... a ship with rum, company of the brotherhood, and the Captain himself, Captain Jack Sparrow, that is. (Apologies Hellion. I'd follow him into the horizon, I would.) So heave up the anchor! Hoist the main sail! Lead me to the pearly sand and foamy sea that John Paul Jones defended against all odds. Let us watch the stars and stripes wave above the ramparts and hold our hands upon our misbegotten hearts to commemorate this day. Aye! Tis a noble lot we are.
Here! Here! Cannon shot salute. Happy Birthday, America!!!
Here here!
I thought I'd come in after hours. I hope you all had a great holiday. I know I did.
