The Beginning of the End
First off, hope everyone (here in the US) is enjoying the
Labor Day weekend. Have an extra hot dog and one final dip in the pool before
fall unofficially begins.
Now, to the business.
I am sad but resigned to report that this ship has sailed
her course. As of October 1, we will have been on this journey for six years.
Some might say that's five years longer than we had in us, but we're proud of
what we've done here, and thank every stowaway, press-ganged author, and new
crew member we gained along the way.
Over the years, we've done parodies and poems. Shared
triumphs and turbulence. Propped each other up, smacked each other around, and
drank more than our share of virtual rum. We'll miss the crazy drink
concoctions, the sandy deck parties, and the camaraderie. And the hotties. We
can't forget the hotties. (I've
sprinkled a few through this post for old time's sake.)
I'd like to say that the month of September will be a blow
out farewell, but as you'd expect from this lazy pirate crew, we haven't
planned anything spectacular. In all honestly, we haven't planned anything at
all except this announcement and the day we sail off into the sunset.

I'll miss the pirates and all the great discussions, but I know that I'll "see" you guys on FB and around the Web. I'm kinda still in denial and don't want to talk about it, but I'm pretty sure I'm out of great analogies and parodies anyway...so it's time. And we did make a promise to keep our email loop so we'd kick each other's butt to write, so I guess we'll be fine. :)
I'm also bummed that Q won't get to seduce me now. *LOL* I didn't realize it was that difficult.
We should probably post hotties every blog since it's our last month. *LOL*
It's been a great ride. I know I've been hiding out in the galley for quite some time but it's given me a keen perspective on the wonderful crew of thus fair ship. So many triumphs! I'd be proud to serve you grub any time!

I'm gonna go pout in the corner with AC and her hotties. I don't comment on every post but I do stop by to read them. I'll miss the parties, guests and great info that have been part of the Revenge. I won't, however, miss the lot of you because I plan to stalk...um...follow you all to your respective facebook pages, twitter feeds and author websites. You can't get rid of me that easily!
