Hottie Crew Member of the Week – The Magic in the Face
This Hottie blog is peppered, you might say, with men giving face. (Stop the giggling, that’s not what I mean.) All of these men have something in common. Well, they have several somethings in common. To start with, they are all incredibly hot men. Throw Hot Brits into that and it’s even better. But they all also play a part in a big event coming up in the middle of this week. You might have heard of it, a little movie about a wizard or something. I hear it’s very popular.
*ducks the empty tankard hurled by the Captain*
Right, no sarcasm regarding Harry. So sorry. All of these men play wizards. You might even say these are the wizards you love to hate. In case you haven’t figured this out, I’m talking about the next installment in the Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The film finally hits theaters this Wednesday and if the trailers I’ve seen are any indication, Hellie will be talking about this one for MONTHS. LOL! Not that she hasn’t been already.
Also, there is this other sort of big event happening this week. About half of this crazy crew will be taking leave to Washington D.C. for the annual Romance Writers of America conference. Santa, J Perry, 2nd Chance and I, the Bo’sun, will do our best to send back reports of all the ta-doings with as much detail (and name dropping) as we can muster. And next week, we’ll have pictures! Hopefully, some incriminating.
So, who is excited about this movie? Which of these faces belongs to your favorite? Anyone have anything in particular they want to know from the conference? A favorite writer you’d like us to stalk in your place? Let us know what you want to know and we’ll do our best to find out.
PS: Google image “hot wizard” and you’ll see A LOT more of Harry than you ever wanted to see. I’m going to be scrubbing my brain for weeks. Gah!

I've actually lost track of the movies. I think the last one I saw featured that lovely tree showing the change of seasons... Yup, I'm far behind... These all look like loverly men, er...wizards...and I need to catch up...
I'm going to DC! Whooohooo!
Yay! HP!! I'm soo excited! :) It took me a minute to figure out who was on top. LOL! He looks different without scads of white hair. :)
Have fun all my piratesses and vixens going to DC. Keep us posted of all the shenanigans. And pictures are good.
Chance - I actually saw part of the beginning of the first one yesterday. I never knew they went through the wall to get to the train. And it was fun to see him meet Ron for the first time. I know, I'm incredibly out of the loop on these things.
Marn - I thought it would be fun to take them out of character, so to speak. (Okay, honestly, I don't they they are attractive at all in their costumes...lol.)
I've had my ticket for weeks, and I've reread the book for the fourth time, so that everything will be fresh in my mind. I'm ready!
And I adore Alan Rickman.
Alan Rickman be a treasure...that voice, that sneer. Sigh.
Has 'e ever played a hero, other than the nutty one with Tim, the tool-man, Taylor? And I suppose Snapes ends up a hero, right? (Haven't read past book three...I think it was three...)
But a real romantic hero from start to finish?
Janga - I love your child-like enthusiasm. No wonder you and the Grands have such a grand time. :)
Mo - We can't forget his turn as the dreamy Col. Brandon in Sense & Sensibility. And he wasn't really a bad guy in Love Actually, but he didn't turn out all that great either.
See? Two movies I haven't seen. I'll put them on the list.
Quit throwing rum bottles at me! Ain't me fault I'm allergic to Jane Austin! I'll work at it!
I hope y'all have a great time in DC!! Give us all the dish, okay?
Chance - You've never seen either of those two movies? If they had aliens in them, I bet you'd watch them. Gah!
LOL!
Sin - I will do my best to find you something touched by Kim Harrison. :)
Yes, you know me well.
OMG! I heart Kim Harrison! And her "Guy". They are both awesome!
Okay, since I made this promise, I figured I'd better check to make sure Ms. Harrison will be there. I'm afraid it's not looking good. According to her blog, she's on vacation. Road trip with the kids does not sound like a trip to Nationals. LOL!
Sorry, Sin!
Maybe they'll be something of her there...
Of all your hotties, I'd pick Ralph Fiennes. He's an absolutely brilliant actor. I've adored him since THE ENGLISH PATIENT.
Hey there, Emily! Can you believe I've never watched that movie? I have no idea why either. Huh.
Can't wait for your visit on Friday!
