PS. Anyone who wants to do JaNaNo with me, I'm going to be keeping track of my progress on my personal blog. :)

Stop by to check in or to give me a kick in the ass.
Happy New Year!!
Oh Santa! Santaaaaa don't-cha-wanna-do-duh-JaNaNo-with-Marnee-Jo-too. Ewe-doo-yes-ewe-dooooo.
She does. Trust me.
She does.
She's just kinda shy. Quiet like (until she reads this) So yah… put her on The List.
Have I told you guys that I have a List too? It’s my harrasss-err my Pep talk List. For Aspiring Writers. I nag them until they finish their MS … or they get a restraining order... Santa’s on my list. Now I suspect that I’m on hers. Which makes me wonder, am I listed under “the naughty” or “the nice” column?
Happy New Year, by the way!
I promise, despite the impending visit to my mother-in-law, to write today. In the car, on the drive south... I won't be doing the driving, by the way. Gotta do it on the drive down, because on the way back I'll likely be fuming about one thing or another!
New year, new month, new story! JaNaNo, here I come!
Happy New Year guys!
Julie, you're volunteered Santa? Are you diving on this bomb too, dear? LOL! And we'll take you as an official harrasser.
Chance - go you! Off to a great start. Dedication, I say, writing in the car! :)
I’m not Volunteering Santa. I’m Drafting her
Santa you have just been Conscripted.
What can I say? I might have finished my two year enlistment as an Army Volunteer but that doesn’t mean that I’ve given up on volunteering … Other People!
LOL
Happy New Year!
Renee
Um, what exactly is JaNo and what does it mean? What do I have to do? What's my motivation? Stangulation of Julie per chance? Strictly a cyber-strangulation, you understand.
Santa
Kinda liking that Julie thinks I'm shy...keeps 'em wondering.
Wicked, gleeful laughter echoes from a ‘top the poop deck. An appropriate place for me to hang out, no? As the term poop deck originates from the French word “la poupe”. Which means “stern”.
Call me Julie La Poupe, Santa. As I am feeling quite Stern… about writers writing. I did tell you that you were on my Writers Watch List. By Writers watch List I mean….
You write.
I watch. And I list reasons why you cannot stop until your WIP is fini, finito, finished!
“What’s my motivation? Strangulation of Julie per chance? “
Strangulation ? Violence to my person? Alas… I have charted out a Hard and Dangerous course for myself.
Telle est la vie.
Such is life. I am willing to put my very life at risk for the Sake of Art. Plus I said that I would. And I never want it said that Julie La Poupe does not keep her word. That would be like sooo ghetto.
So it is Santa that I am motivated to manipulateeeeerrrrr… to Motivate the Soon to be Great.
You ask What’s your motivation?
Your Motivation is to be MOTIVATED to finish so that I am motivated to motivate someone else!
By the way Santa, you should consider yourself Very lucky. One poor soul is getting a Pep talk that requires her to use finger paints. While another learns that writing with a deadline hanging over your head can … and will … humble you. Humble and haunt you.
Humble and haunt?
Telle est la vie.
I for one will never underestimate the power of the written word. Or the cost that others have paid for my right to write.
Write with a purpose, my friends. Even if that purpose is to entertain. Write for the readers. Or write for yourself. It does not matter. What matters is that you finish “something” … at least once in your life. Fini
There are plenty of Reasons. But there are No Excuses. Just once…. See IT to its end.
Finish the Story.
By the way, Santa. No body Said what your 25,000 words had to be about. You could write
“Julie is an arse.” 6250 times!
