Hottie Crew Member of the Week - Bo'sun Gets Selfish Then Gives Stuff Away

I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend.  I didn’t have any plans but I did end up buying a dress for the RITA ceremony (didn’t plan to but this one was so awesome I couldn’t pass it up) and I moved my office around hoping to find inspiration. So far, it’s provided a way for my kitten to walk on my keyboard while I’m trying to work. Lovely.

Hellie and I were talking yesterday and I realized I was in the mood for something different and flavorful for dinner. For those of you who don’t know, I wouldn’t know how to create this if my life depended upon it.  So, today, I’m adding my own personal chef to the crew.  What do you think?

Sorry wenches, he’s all mine. That’s the “personal” part, you see.  Since I’m guessing I was the only pirate who didn’t interact with a single person yesterday (and emails don’t count), I win.

Now, I have some business to take care of. The crew threw me an awesome party this week where they promised to provide a prize to the commenter with the best new drink idea a book from *my* shelves.  Since I have so many sitting around here, I decided to give away THREE.  All winners will receive ARCs from my personal collection. Meaning, the books are published by now and these are copies I can’t get rid of on paperback swap.  Pirate!

And the winners are…

JANGA!! She came up with the Summa Cum Laude aka ‘Soma Come Louder.  For this contribution, Janga will be receiving an ARC of Elizabeth Thornton’s The Runaway McBride.

SABRINA!! For the creation of  A Flaming Virgin, Sabrina wins an ARC of Would-Be Witch by Kimberly Frost.

LISA!! I would be totally remiss not to award a prize for the inspired Long Dong Silver. Lisa will be getting an ARC of Scandal by Carolyn Jewel.

So, there we have it.  My own personal chef is installed in the galley (and Santa is pretty damn happy to have him), the winners are announced, and I’ve wished everyone a happy holiday.  Seems like I’m missing something.  *thinks really hard*

OH YES! We have ANOTHER great guest joining us this week.  The always hysterical, madly talented Leslie Langtry joins us this Tuesday to talk about her latest release, I SHOT YOU BABE.  The fourth installment in the Bombay Family series, I SHOT YOU BABE, is the story of Coney Island Bombay, otherwise known as Cy, and this book is totally from his point of view.

Ladies, he’s built like a Mack truck, has a degree in Philosophy, and sports an incredibly sexy Australian accent.  And did I mention she based him on Daniel Craig? Run, do not walk, to get this book!

Great dress, Terri, and a smokin' chef. I confess Chance's question crossed my mind too. :)

I'm glad you liked the drink. I love winning free books. Thanks for this one.

Yay for Leslie Langtry!

That's right, Chance, he's all mine. *insert evil laugh here*

And don't you worry about that oil. We have it well in hand. ;)

Janga - Please tell me you don't have this one. That was the hardest part. You already have EVERY book. LOL! If you have this one, I'll do my darndest to find you another.

And thanks to both for the kudos on the dress. I've never really embraced that retro thing, but I was quite surprised how well it looked on me. Totally unexpected!

I'll second taht YAY for Leslie!

Ooh, I like the dress, Terri. It's going to look great on you! Did you spring for red shoes too?

Congrats to the winners! Those were some truly inspired drinks. ;)

Very inspirational chef too, may I say. He can come cook for me any ole time! In fact, I'm spending my afternoon making chocolates and looking at him while stirring melted chocolate brings many lovely ideas to mind. :)

I fancy his sauce may be too spicy for me!

Just watched the American tennis player Andy Rodick take Federrer to five sets in the Wimbledon final.

Now there's a guy that I would happily share my scotch with.

After checking that his intentions are honourable, I could pass him on to show you all his runners up medal and anything else you fancied *grin*

Ter, that dress is fine! I love the top of it. It's going to look really nice on you. And like PJ, I thnk you need cherry red heels.

I love love love Leslie and can't wait to see what sort of antics she's up to.

HUZZAH! I never win anything and I'm so dang excited!!! Thank you Terrio. I've never read Carolyn Jewel's work, so this is a great prize:)

I'm hungry *scuffing toe in dirt* You think Chef Hottie would come over and cook me up aomething devine?

Q, I watched the painful match. I would love to console Andy. *wink*

Leslie coming aboard! Awesome:)

PJ - I have a feeling the things you have in mind could melt that chocolate with no stove in sight. LOL!

Q - Where have you been, luv?! We've missed you. You missed my party. *pouts* And did I miss the final match? Dang it, I've been out in the rain getting some groceries. I'll have to catch the highlights. Is it safe to say you wanted Roger to lose? Hey, since he won, that'd make him a Jolly Roger! (I know, that was horrible, but I couldn't resist.)

Sin - You know Leslie is always up to something and when you get her and the Captain together, it's bound to be interesting.

Lisa - Sorry, just home from Wally World and I'm famished. He's going to be busy for a while. ;)

And thanks to everyone for the comments on the dress. I'm happy to report I have a pair of cherry red heels with the little peep toe very much like the ones in the picture. Wore them for the last Christmas party. That means BOOYA on not having to spend more money! LOL!

Hellie said...

Actually I didn't interact with a soul yesterday either, thanks. *LOL* But you wrote more than I did, so I guess you deserve him. Even if I appreciate necks more than you do.

terrio said...

So I'm a nitwit and forgot to ask for addresses.

Lisa - I have yours.

Sabrina - Could you send me your snail mail addy?

Janga - I have one from you that is from August '08. Is that still the right one?

terrio said...

When I die you're going to put that in the epilogue, aren't you? "She didn't like men with necks." It's just not true! LOL!

You have Jack, you don't need anyone else. :)

Hellie said...

Jack does not cook. Except in bed. But Damnit, I'm hungry!

Wow, I go away for a weekend and I come back to a prize! Thank you so much and I love the dress - red heels would be perfect.

Ter- email me at srwpnh @ hotmail.com and I'll give you my snail mail. I don't see an email address for you on here.

I was totally out of it this weekend. LOL! I guess I think I'm famous and everyone knows where to find me. :)

I'll email you!
